Life as a Diabetic

This blog documents what day to day life is like for a Type 1 diabetic, no holding back it will highlight everything.I hope that it could grow into a resource to help other diabetics

Tea

I drink a mad amount of tea with semi skimmed milk, could that pst my levels up?

My last test said my levels at 13.5, there is literally no reason for them to be that high at all. Makes no sense what so ever. I just get fucked off and lazy whenever this happens, not helpful when I’m stupidly busy. GREAT TIMES!!

I seem to have everything under control these days, worked out how to keep my levels nice and steady. I’ve found a balance with my riding too, basically no rapid in my body what so ever if I’m riding more than 3 miles and i’m good. I have to plan a lot more but so I know where I’m going and when. It’s not so bad though, I just plan my lunch time and its good.

Hows everyone else?

April 23rd

Not doing to badly, staying daily level although I had a real bad hypo the other night. Wasn’t fun! I was 2.0 or something, things got real crazy. Didn’t help it was in the early hours of the morning, not sure why it happened. I hadn’t done anything differently, not that I can remember anyway. Not had a hypo like that in a 9 months or so, it really threw me out. Felt so bad the next day. Apart from that though were all good, got a current uni assignment which I’m involving diabetes. May need so people to get involved and pass feedback on the images I create.

Everyone good?

I’ve been drinking far much recently, managed to keep things under control though so thats kind of a good thing. No drink related hypo’s or hypers

My levels are running higher now mainly due to the reduction of my Basal insulin to 4 units but now I find myself constantly running too high, the last week I have been over 10 several times which isn’t ideal. I’ve upped my Basal insulin tonight as I’m injecting up to 6 times a day sometimes to keep them down, I’m unsure what to do as I don’t want to be crashing again all the time. We shall see, I’m going to try this for a few days.

4th of April

Stressed out and I need to leave, I can’t be dealing with my current location. Every time I start to think its not so bad something happens to remind me it is.
